The Next Big Thing 2010

Following the phenomenal success and continued growth of Event UK’s Next Big Thing competition we are again searching for new and exceptionally talented acts looking to break into the corporate entertainment and party scene, where the real money is!

We will be holding a series of regional heats around the UK throughout the spring and summer. Winners of the heats and shortlisted online entries will form the final 12 acts battling it out at The Next Big Thing semi finals at Event UK on 21-22 September 2010, NEC Birmingham. The final will take place on the second day of the show.

Enter now to win £1000, a contract with top entertainment industry agent Sternberg Clarke and extensive free promotion. You’ll also have the chance to perform at some of the industry’s leading events in 2011. Click here for more details.

battled it out on stage at Event UK 2009, after 2 earlier heats and an online reader's vote helped pick the shortlisted acts. The audience then voted their favourite act on each day through to the final, and our judges crowned comedian Kev Orkian the overall winner!

Anastasia Volandas

After wining many competitions in gymnastic, Anastasia decided to follow her dad’s steps and became a circus performer.

With her father she created her amazing handbalancing act and then took part in various European theatre and circus productions, variété shows, corporates and many different festivals including the great “Monté-Carlo international circus festival”.

This performance mix high skills, strenght, contortion, dance, emotions and sensuality.

Be prepared to be estonished by this very talented and very unique artist!

He has competed in many Classical Festivals and won many accolades for his stunning renditions of opera classics such as "Nessun Dorma", "Toreador" and "La Donna e Mobile" and has performed on the World's grandest stages including, The Royal Albert Hall and The Fairfield Halls with the London Mozart Players, to great acclaim.

Pippa Coram was given the name ‘the Ripper’ because she has slain so many audiences worldwide. She is known as a serial killer of the circus and cabaret scene.

Beautiful, mysterious, fun or amusing, Pippa is versatile in style, skill and theme. Her large performing repertoire suits a wide range of event styles including a fun and energetic 50’s big band theme, a sexy and sassy 70’s disco themed with light up glow hoops and acts that include audience participation ideal for that unforgettable Birthday surprise. Their vision is to write music that is extremely fresh and will stimulate listeners to smile, laugh and dance. They are absolutely unique and continue to surprise at every level.

Act 12: Ryunosuke Yamazumi

Ryu  Ryunosuke Yamazumi

This performance includes highly skilled unique juggling combined with some original manipulation ,acrobatic and dance movement with big white balls. As he touches one of the balls, the audience sees this incredible man moving with sophisticated acrobatic precision, followed by his speedy juggling style. He rolls balls everywhere on his body, balance them and bounce them on his head. Out of that, he has tremendous technic of juggling that is proved by his finale, juggling with no less than 5 big balls and catching one in a fancy way.
